What was the highlight of The Icon Capsule Hostel

Overall I enjoyed my stay and the staff was excellent. They allowed for late check in.

They have about 3 options for breakfast. They have eggs with veggies, eggs with some breakfast meat and waffles. Toast and fruit are complimentary items with each option. They provided either coffee or watermelon juice as a breakfast drink option.

The breakfast area was a little crammed but it didn't matter much since I was traveling during the low tourism season.

Cute and good value stay in the very center

Really cute hostel with nice interieur and decoration, small pool plus jacuzzi. Nice rooftop for a little break. Single room was very small but clean and a brand new bathroom. Super nice stuff. In the middle of the old town with all the exciting things around!

Room was really very little and everything was open, so quite noisy - the restaurants and bars around, the guests on the rooftop, the early morning cleaning of the rooftop. If you don’t mind it’s a perfect place.

Great staff and facilities are really good too.

Great staff and facilities are really good too. Jacuzzi on the rooftop is awesome and the hostel provides an excellent atmosphere to make new friends! I highly recommend it.

Maybe I was just unlucky to use the facilities right after others but they were not very clean. Not an absurd since everything is shared.

This is a great hostel for a bit of affordable luxury.

This is a great hostel for a bit of affordable luxury. The rooms were very comfortable and air con is kept on so the room never got hot. The Pool is perfect for cooling off after a day walking around Cartagena. The breakfasts were good as well

The aircon did sometimes get a bit cold a night - a blanket would have been good. Having the storage above the beds, especially when in the top bunk was a bit inconvenient - more floor space would have been good

What was the highlight of The Icon Capsule Hostel

This is now one of my favorite hostels!

I found this hostel truly charming, the colors and the decor were truly lovely The location is very central and you could easily walk to stores, the supermarket, restaurants, and anywhere else you wanted to go. The capsule style beds and the curtains provide perfect privacy, I honestly didn't see much of my roommates. The bathrooms were cleaned frequently and were very spacious. Honestly I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The lady that helped with breakfast (I never got her name) was so friendly! Breakfast options were: pancakes, eggs with toast, eggs with vegetables and toast and cereal. All options included fruit and coffee or juice. The jacuzzi was on the rooftop, it wasn't warm, but it was nice to go up there and have a view. I never tried the pool because I am short and it looked deep but it was nice to dip my feet in and definitely a nice bonus for the price. This is definitely not a party hostel but honestly, I liked it that way.

The location is very central in the old town. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and helpful.

Pool is kind of small and the hot tub wasn’t hot but I didn’t book this hostel for the pool/tub

Clean, nice little pool, air con in the dorm since it's very hot all the time.

Staff was the worst I've seen. They never smiled, never even responded if you said hi to them, if I asked something (e.g. where to go for haircut) they made a big sigh as if it was a huge task. In four days that I stayed there not one of them spoke to me or ask how I was, not even when I left did they ask if everything was okay or did I like my stay. Only smile I saw was in the breakfast that this lovely lady made for us. Unfortunately she also made the worst breakfast that I've ever got. In the english breakfast menu was an option of pancakes. When I got my plate there was two waffles that were made day (or two) before that she heated on the microwave. It tasted like cartboard. Also there is only two bathrooms for women. It's not a huge hostel but in the mornings it was a bit hard to try not to pee in your pants when people were taking long hot showers.

What was the highlight of The Icon Capsule Hostel

Modern, clean and fun accommodations walking distance from everything in the Old Town & Getsemani!

I loved everything about my stay here and even extended my stay after the first night! Every single person working there was amazing and very helpful, and everyone always had a smile! The facilities were spotless and the dorm rooms feel very private because everyone gets their own pod. My first few nights were in the 14-bed dorm and the pods were HUGE and had cabinets inside where you could lock and store your luggage, as well as extra space on the side of the bed to put things like your shoes or hang your towel/clothes. The smaller dorm rooms have smaller pods with exterior lockers, but they still have room to hang your towels/clothes. Breakfast was great everyday, and you have the option between 4 made-to-order meals (yogurt/cereal, 2 different egg dishes, or pancakes, and fruit/juice/coffee come with each). Leslie, one of the cooks, was really friendly and I looked forward to seeing her each morning and she even did a mini cooking lesson with a couple of us. It is really easy to meet people here between sitting around the breakfast table every morning or sitting at the pool. Anna also really helped the social aspect by facilitating really fun activities (i.e. flip cup, live music night, etc) so that everyone could get to know each other and Jose Miguel, the bartender, was really nice and made the best mojitos! :) I will definitely stay here again whenever I visit Cartagena.

I can't think of much that I didn't like! I work remotely and sometimes there were spots (the upstairs dorm room and sometimes the back wall of the breakfast area) where the WiFi seemed a bit slower, but overall the wifi was good for what I needed to do. Everything else was great!

Amazing value !

Great hostel with an amazing location, comfortable beds and small pool which is always a plus! The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast was very basic but for the price I didn’t expect more so it was great.

There were no curtains on the window in the dormitory so the morning light woke me up :( also I wished the curtains on the bed were thicker and less see-through
